We have no written history of the rocks. There was no one who wrote down the dates as to when a particular layer of rock was laid down. It’s just guesswork. They also just assumed that the more complicated forms of life developed from simpler forms. And they assumed that this took millions and millions of years, so they assigned an age to both the rocks and the fossils. They tried to calculate the age of fossils and rocks by using the radiometric dating (carbon dating). But there are many reasons why radiometric dating cannot be considered reliable. They still have to use assumptions that certain things are true which they do not know is true. Carbon dating seems reliable up to 10,000 to 15,000 years. Not millions or billions. Earth has known cataclysms, and probably meteorite strikes, as well as the great flood described in Genesis, which would change the way the rocks were laid down. If God created the world much as it is today, how could anyone possibly tell how old it is? God has provided much evidence of creation. Who can tell what mysteries might now be explained if evolutionists had not rejected God, and scientists did not insist on explaining all things without Him. We could learn more about our universe, and its mysteries, and realize that it is foolish not to believe in God. But the atheist evolutionists have accepted a theory and just do not want to give it up.

Those who assert as fact absolute claims about the age of the earth need to heed the words of geologist H.H. Read, who said: “Geology as the science of earth history, is prone to controversy. The study of history of any kind depends upon documents and records. For the history of the earths crust, these documents are the rocks and their reading of interpretation are often difficult operations.” (Tom DeRosa, Evolutions fatal fruit).

No one denies the existence of fossils. The public seems to think fossil evidence supports evolution. It doesn’t. There is no large scale fossilization occurring any where in the world today. When a fish dies, it does not sink to the bottom and become a fossil; instead, it either decomposes or it is destroyed by scavengers. But there was an incredible amount of fossilization that occurred sometime in the past. Fossil graveyards, petrified forests, and the rapid formation of coal all speak of the Genesis flood and other post flood catastrophes. These billions of fossils preserved in the fossil record could not have been formed by processes observable in the world today as uniformitarian geologists have assumed and taught.

Such preservation is the exception, and not the rule. This attests to a strictly atypical worldwide, cataclysmic, hydraulic event such as Noah’s world wide flood. The fossil record of the geologic column is not a history of evolving life forms, but a memorial to the sudden mass extermination of life from another age— the annihilation of the antediluvian world, around 2,300 B.C. I have a film showing fish fossils that appear to be in a state of panic due to being covered so quickly they couldn’t escape.

Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein, Von Braun, Plato, Aristotle, Leonardo da Vinci, Galileo and Nicholas Capernaum all believed in God. If evolution were true, some of them would have noticed something. THE PRIMARY EVIDENCE OF EVOLUTION IS THE ASSUMPTION OF EVOLUTION.

Another letter writer wrote an excellent letter in answer to our know-it-all L.R. atheist. He said, “Evolutionists assume an idea, then create the proof, and that’s supposed to be logical." He also made an excellent point when he said, “for evolution to even be possible, at some time all species had to have the ability to cross-breed, e.g., fish with birds, snails with snakes, apes with early man. But they can’t now, they all stopped at the same time, but in fact, they never could.”

The supposition that biological changes move upward has never been observed in the laboratory or in the field. To add limbs to an organism, such as a fish, and make him a warm-blooded cow is nothing but fantasy and an absurdity. Creationist and other non-evolutionary scientists say it cannot be considered factual apart from any real evidence. It is maintained in spite of rather than because of the evidence. A theory is just a belief until it is proven to be something else. It is detrimental to ordinary intelligence and warps judgment. (Lawrence Richards, It couldn't just happen)
