There comes a time in life to stand up and be counted; a time to be
quiet; and a time to shut-up when it is obvious that the one talking
doesn’t know what he or she is talking about. In the latter case it is
John Murtha, Democrat Representative from Pennsylvania. He is a retired
Marine who doesn’t understand he is bleating about things of which he
knows nothing.
|
|
It is difficult to understand how anyone who has served the nation, can
retire and then become a flaming mouthed liberal who has nothing but
scorn and disdain for the President, the military, and the nation in
general. He speaks as if he knows what is taking place, but how can he
when he wasn’t there? Murtha is a perfect symbol of the ones who tout
the bogus line that civilians are innocent and must be protected in war
at all costs. Yes, some are innocent and some aren’t. But in war a lot
of people become victims who don’t need to be victims, yet it happens
because war is about killing the enemy who attacks anyone they don’t
like or who impedes their vicious agenda. Tragically, the innocent at
times are in the way when eradication of the vermin takes place. That
isn’t being callused; it is being realistic.
|
|
Murtha, of all people, should know that the foregoing is inevitable, but
he issued an indictment and condemned the military personnel involved
in the Haditha mess, all before the facts became known. He was sure that
the men acted irrationally, but again, how does he know since he wasn’t
there? He railed about the civilians and the horrible conduct of our
forces toward them.
|
|
A sure way to lose any war is to be so timid about fighting the enemy,
that the morale is diminished to the point that the men and women are
reluctant to do the dirty job because of loud mouthed know it all know
nothings like Murtha. Those who support him claim it is wrong to
criticize a man who served his nation. Since when does some type of
military service give anyone immunity from criticism about his stupid
bleating? Since when does it give him a free pass to denigrate his
nation and the military?
|
|
Now Murtha says [the U.S.] “... is
more dangerous to
world peace than nuclear threats from North Korea or Iran, ...”
There has to be something wrong with a former Marine, a United States
Representative, who views his nation as a greater danger than two
despotic, totalitarian, tyrannical nations ruled by men who could pass a
test for being certifiably insane. It may be that the rulers of those
nations aren’t the only ones who are certifiably insane. There seems to
be a liberal virus causing insanity going around in this nation among
several groups.
|
|
Men like Murtha fail to understand that the mouthing he directs to our
military and the nation is giving aid, comfort, and encouragement to the
enemy. The enemy is looking for any opening that will give them
advantage over a superior force. The only way we can be defeated is for
the people to lose their will to defeat the enemy; Murtha and so many others (along with the foreign enemy) are working
hard to destroy our will to pursue the war. Is he doing what he does for
political advantage or is he stupid? The short answer is yes.
|
|
The nation is involved in a war of a different kind, but the rules of
engagement haven’t much changed from the other wars. Though the weapons
are different, it is still kill the enemy. In Sorting It Out, it is
imperative that the President and the military receive the support of
the nation to bring us through the time of peril and John Murtha simply
needs to Shut-Up. And so do Dick
Durbin, D-Ill., Ted Kennedy, D-Mass., Harry Reid, D-Nev. and quite a few
more. But in the case of John Kerry, let that mouth continue to
roar. Some idiots are useful to our cause of freedom and liberty.
