Bob Barker of the Price Is Right fame isn’t the only one
who has the line “Come on down.” Fort Lauderdale, Florida is
using that idea to make it known to queers throughout the land that they
are welcome, and it must be presumed based on the comments that the
price is right. In the words of Nicki Grossman, head of the Greater
Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau: "We've got a message that
says we're a warm, welcoming, safe destination, and his message is
virtually the opposite. The mayor has painted a frightening picture of
his city, and we're desperately trying to change that."

The first part of lady’s statement aptly illustrates the difference
between those (the mayor) who know the ugliness of sin and those (the
lady) who think it is just another life style choice to be accepted as
normal. Apparently, the lady doesn’t see sin as frightening and refuses
to see what others are seeing. It sounds like she doesn’t want people to
think that what is occurring in that city is immoral and is trying to
make perversion look graceful and nice. I wonder if she has ever heard
of Sodom and Gomorrah. That city had a similar problem and we know what
happened to it.

But there is another issue and which is the heart of the issue. County
commissioners accused him of jeopardizing the area's multibillion-dollar
tourism industry. (Click
Sun-Sentinel or URL below) Without being obvious and
spelling it out, it is M-O-N-E-Y. Never allow sin to stop the flow of
money to the coffers of the government and business; truthfully, the
mayor’s action presents a dilemma they want to ignore. Decent people
don’t want their children to be exposed to homosexual conduct but who
cares down there? M-O-N-E-Y is the goal, sin or not.

In I Timothy 6:10 Paul wrote: For the love of money is the root of
all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the
faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. The
evil is unrestrained homosexual conduct and the mayor is causing them to
be pierced, but the sorrow is that they are being exposed for condoning
and accepting sin. But come on now. Morals can’t be allowed to get in
the way of bringing in M-O-N-E-Y. (See

When people ignore the moral teachings of scripture, confusion and
blindness about right and wrong inevitably reign supreme in their mind.
Anthony Niedwiecki, who helped form a group called Unite Fort Lauderdale
said, in the wake of the mayor's comments, "Naugle has ruined the
reputation of this community in the minds of many fair-minded
Americans." Excuse me. The community doesn't need any help with
ruining its reputation since those promoting the homosexual agenda are
doing well with no help. Matthew 15:14 tells us in the words of Jesus:
Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the
blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.
The deliberately blind leading
the deliberately blind for the love of sin and money are blaming the
mayor for their problems. Such astute leadership is overwhelming!

When people are practicing perversion and have supporters who encourage
the conduct, it isn’t any wonder that they don’t wish to hear the truth
or see the evil and gross behavior. Paul wrote: And have no
fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove
them. 12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done
of them in secret. (Ephesians 5:11-12) Not only are they
speaking of it, they are encouraging, advertising, and displaying the
behavior publicly. The mayor wants none of it and that isn’t setting
well with the anything goes crowd who wish to satisfy their love of
M-O-N-E-Y.

The facts and truth speak for themselves in this matter. The mayor is
correct and those who say “fair-minded citizens” think that he is wrong
are badly deceived. In Sorting It Out, can you guess the identity of the
fair-minded citizens? It’s rather obvious, isn’t it?
