 STICK IT TO THE ACLU

While people were busy with everyday affairs an unelected and private group, called the ACLU, wormed its way into the fabric of our government, becoming in effect a 4th branch that has no power except when given favorable rulings by liberal courts. Rita Sklar, the czar of this branch, thinks she wields great power and can say “do as we say or we will sue you.” She does have power as long as people cower at her ungodly demands.

Anything that appears to challenge the ACLU’s quest to do away with God upsets her mightily. Now Sklar has her bloomers in a twist over the placing of stickers on text books that say evolution is only a theory and the twisting gets tighter when she hears the words intelligent design. The words have come to mean God and creationism over the years of use and that torques Rita’s jaws big time since her bloomers are twisted as tight as they will go.

The school board of the Beebe, Arkansas, School District, has decided to leave the stickers on the books until the courts decide on any unconstitutional or constitutional issues about the stickers. The school board is to be commended for their stand, even though Sklar issued a press release that said the stickers would be removed. She spoke before she knew the facts and stuck her foot in her mouth. The ACLU had demanded that the stickers be removed or they would sue, which they intend to do. The school board wanted an extension to the two week ACLU demand to remove them.

Rita Sklar and her ilk in the ACLU, anywhere the ACLU exists, aren’t in any position to demand anything of anyone since they aren’t a part of the government in any respect. They can demand, but they have no power to force anyone to acquiesce to the demands. They use threats to cause people to cower and give in to their high handed tactics.

In the first place, their two week demand to remove the stickers or else we will sue is a bullying type tactic common to the group. In the second place, they depend on fear of the cost of litigation to get their way. Sklar said in a press release, “We commend the Beebe School District for avoiding unnecessary and costly litigation in this matter.”

(Source: www.arkansasleader.com Beebe will not remove stickers) The litigation is unnecessary because it isn’t any of Sklar’s business what type stickers are on those books and the cost for the ACLU is another factor she wants to avoid. And it is a waste of tax money to have to mount a defense against the ridiculous suits of the ACLU.

The track record of the ACLU is one of challenging anything that speaks of God and the Constitution, particularly the religion part of the First Amendment. The ACLU was founded by Roger Baldwin who championed the socialist, communist, ungodly ways of life. The ACLU hasn’t changed over the years and no one should expect it too. Sklar is carrying on the tradition by challenging anything that speaks to God, looks like it might lead to God, and root them out of their power position of attempting to remove God from public life in the United States.

It is long past time for Sklar and the ACLU to shut up and leave everyone alone. The Beebe School Board and the other schools, who find themselves being bullied by the group, need to stand their ground and Stick It To The ACLU. Our tradition of liberty demands that it be done.
