The God hating man from Paris Arkansas is at it again. Anyone who wants
to study stupidity need only read his letters to Voices and the one, of
11-10-2007 is no exception to his drivel. The depth of the shallowness
of the anti-God, atheistic liberal mind is without equal.
|
|
One of the most ridiculous things he has ever written follows: “… those
non-Christian troublemakers, Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin and Thomas
Paine …” when discussing the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
Liberals and atheists believe some strange things and facts only confuse
them even more so here are some facts to add to the man’s confusion.
Thomas Jefferson was Christian (read his works). He was not a deist
Christian. Benjamin Franklin was the man who suggested that prayer to
God be done each day until they created a Constitution. That is strange
behavior to say the least for a man who supposedly was a non-believer or
deist at best. Thomas Paine wasn’t an atheist but none the less his
views were conflicted. However he did recognize the good that the others
wanted to do and went along with it.

It is true that excesses have been perpetrated by zealots in the name of
the Christian religion. But that doesn’t make the message of Christ
wrong and therefore isn’t reason to throw out the baby with bath water.
Paul himself cautioned about those who would do vile deeds in the name
of Christ.

Who is losing the right to be different and who is being forced fed what
the writer calls a childish religion? Each person is different from
each other person; but when that which we believe has been shown over
the years to be right, freedom of speech allows us to point out the
sinful practices of others which are detriments to a safe and stable
society, which by the way is what the founders desired to give us.
|
|
Jesus himself said, Verily I say unto you,
Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God
as a little child, he shall not enter therein.
(Mark
10:15). Children are very adept at seeing the simplicity of life and
the truths therein. But adults have to make everything difficult since
simple things can’t possible be true. Are we to believe that preaching
the gospel; pointing out wrong; and insisting on following a standard of
morality is force feeding our belief on anyone?
|
|
Then the writer makes a mind numbing statement. He says that
fundamentalists (used as a derogatory name for believers) don’t know the
difference between mythology and history “… taking their cue from long
dead (sic) barbarians.” Barbarians he says. Indeed! He didn’t make clear
whether he was speaking of the writers of the Bible or the founders. He
even went so far as to call God immoral. He is speaking of men, a
system, and of our God, all of which allow him to say as he pleases to
the extent he can castigate and demean the very ones who have given him
his freedom and liberty. His wisdom is breathtakingly stupefying.
|
|
It is surprising though. When people such as the letter writer deny the
fact of sin and righteousness, such excesses as he spouts will flow like
sewage filth into the daylight for all to see.
