The first Amendment of the Constitution tells government to keep its
hands off speech. Citizens are free to speak, and those who work in the
news are free to speak and publish what they think, hear, and see. That
freedom from government censorship and the liberty to publish and speak
helps maintain a stable society. It is also dangerous to certain people
as will be seen in this article. And that which is dangerous is called
truth. Liars can’t stand the truth so they smear those who do tell the
truth, and when one looks carefully at the issue of free speech, it will
be seen that behind the smears and lies is something far more sinister.

|
Remember that truth is the issue and when the truth is presented, the
left can’t prevail. But the liberals have their own brand of truth and
that drives them to utter inanities knowing full well that a certain
portion of the public will believe them because party takes precedence
over the nation and truth.

That is the case with Jesse
Macbeth, the phony soldier and the ranting by the liberals in Congress
demanding that Rush Limbaugh apologize for saying phony soldier. John
Kerr, among others, twisted what Limbaugh said, saying that Rush called
all soldiers phony. That did not happen. (I heard the exchange with the
caller and the entire reference was to the behavior of Jesse Macbeth,
not the soldiers who disagree with the war.) The behavior of the liberal
Democrats illustrates the lengths to which they will go to twist the
truth to suit their propaganda and agenda.
As Rush said,
“They have to lie about such atrocities because they can't
find any that fit the template of the way they see the US military. In
other words, for the American anti-war left, the greatest inconvenience
they face is the truth.”

Joseph Goebbels said, “If you tell a lie big enough and keep
repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be
maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from
the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus
becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to
repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus
by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.” Along
that line, Vladimir Lenin said, “A lie told often enough becomes
truth” Those two statements undeniably fit the smearing behavior of
the liberal Democrats and their followers of like ilk.

Talk radio is the enemy of the liberals and their attempts to dupe the
citizens with their lies. That brings us to the reason for the smear of
Rush Limbaugh who is the chief enemy of the liberal brand of truth. The
liberal anti-free speech crowd wants to stifle free speech because as
Rush so often says, “They can’t compete in the market place of
ideas.” Nearly every liberal oriented talk radio show has folded and
those which remain serve a very small audience. If Rush had not pointed
out the phony soldier and his behavior, the left would have been able to
continue to pose his phony story as the truth and gain points for their
agenda at the expense of the military.
|
|
But the dichotomy in the issue was John Kerry with support from his sick
cronies. Kerry, in order to smear Rush, had to defend the military which
he loathes as does Clinton; years ago he appeared before Congress and
smeared the military claiming to have seen atrocities that the soldiers
never committed. In both cases, Kerry lied for his own gain and as James
wrote, A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.(James1:8)
And John Kerry is double minded in nearly all respects.

The sinister part of the behavior stems from the fact that conservative
talk radio is an enemy of the liberals. So much so that Rep. Dennis
Kucinich, D-Ohio, aims to kill conservative talk radio, calling it an
“abuse of the public trust” and continues by saying that [W] without
harsh government controls controlling who gets to speak on radio, “… our
airwaves are abused and our democracy is being eroded.” (Source
America’s 1st Freedom NRA, p. 34, October 2007) Their
motives and intents are plain to see and they are sinister regarding
freedom of speech. Their lies are constantly exposed to the listening
public and that is the reason they continually yell that talk radio
needs to be fair and balanced. They know full well that if the Fairness
Doctrine is again operative they won’t have to worry about Rush and
others. Whatever is said by them will be the “truth” and no one will be
able to dispute it.
|
|
The current liberal smear attempt of Rush Limbaugh shows their
duplicitous ways and their desperation to fool the public. They can only
do that by gutting freedom of speech by eliminating conservative talk
radio which exposes their abuse of the public trust given to them as
office holders. What is being eroded is their ability to practice
underhanded schemes to destroy freedom and liberty. In Sorting It Out,
the practice of the art of planned smear shows them to be nothing more
than liars of the worst kind and who are constantly exposed by the First
Amendment.

Addendum: Since this was written, more developments concerning the the
phony issue have risen, all perpetrated by the liberal "hate everything
decent" Democrats. Senator Tom Harkin (D. Iowa) took a swipe at Rush which
reveals the low mentality, ethics, honesty, and morals of Harkin. Read
the article
at
http://www.newsmax.com/insidecover/limbaugh_soldier_remark/2007/10/02/37353.html for the reason Harkin has a dog in the fight to eliminate Rush. A
hint if you need it. It's called the Fairness Doctrine.
