THE BEGGAR IN SILENCE
God
help us all if we come
To
this terrible time,
You wake up one morning
To
find you have not a dime.
So
you find your patched up
Suit and button up your shirt,
You check your favorite shoes
To
be sure there is no dirt.
You stride out the door and
Hold your head up high,
Not knowing where you will end
But you know you can act spry.
So
you find a corner and straighten
Out your wrinkled clothes,
Check your shoes again so no-one
Will see the holes in your toes.
You say a prayer for a coin or two
You get to the point you're glad,
Jesus will not let you down for
He
will never let you be sad.
We
open our hearts to someone
Who follows God's guidance,
And find you no longer are
THE BEGGAR IN SILENCE.
