Medicine
is a huge business in the United States. It seems
young people are big users of illegal drugs and senior
citizens are big users of prescription drugs. There is one
healthy drug-free method everyone needs to use, and it is
simply "laughter". Hearty laughter is a good way to jog
internally without having to go outdoors.
Research has shown that 100 to 200 deep laughs benefit the
body as much as ten minutes on a rowing machine. A quote
from Leigh Anne Jasheway reads that laughter increases
antibodies in the saliva combating respiratory infections,
relaxes muscles throughout the body, helps reduce symptoms
of neuralgia and rheumatism, and helps move nutrients and
oxygen to body tissue. Also, laughter massages internal
organs. This can aid in digestion and improve the flow of
blood throughout the body, including the brain. William Fry, an
M.D., has studied the effects of laughter upon the human body and
found laughter gives the heart a workout, supplies the lungs with
oxygen, stimulates the brain, activates the brain, activates the immune system, and suppresses stress hormones.
"He who laughs, lasts".
Let's laugh our way to great-health.
