Mention patriotism in the same sentence with Democrats or liberals and the ranting begins full blast. The left’s adherents immediately launch into a tirade that the far right is accusing them of being unpatriotic. The old saying that if the shoe fits wear it, seems to make the shoe fit them very well.

Hillary Clinton has weighed in on patriotism at least three times, all in 2006.  Number one, "Since when has it been part of American patriotism to keep our mouths shut?"  Number two is "Dissent is the highest form of Patriotism." And number three, "Blind faith in bad leadership is not patriotism." Remember, all the while as you read her words that the perspective for her bleating is from the left, aimed to the right. Let’s take them one at a time and turn the tables on Brunehillary.

Number one is very true, but for her and her liberal friends when conservatives talk, she and her friends want to shut them up. The chief of the shut them up chorus, the nut job (a.k.a. Barack Hussein Obama), leads the pack. On August 7^th, 2009 at 11:15 a.m. on C-Span, he said in reference to the mess he said he inherited, “I don't mind cleaning up after them, but don't do a lot of talking.” Apparently it is wrong to use Clinton’s rule number one and obviously the nut job doesn’t like patriotism when the opposition is doing the talking.

Rule number two has much truth to it but remember that her words are relative to her perspective. It depends on whom or what is causing the dissent and with Clinton and the nut job it is very patriotic to rant against conservative common sense. That isn’t a very high form of patriotism. When they are opposed, the opposition is accused of practicing the worst kind of unpatriotic behavior. Okay for the left, but totally wrong for the right.

The last one, number three was her screed against the administration in power at the time of the rants. Yet, in 2009, this country elected one of the worst leaders in the history of the nation; some of the most incompetent nincompoops (not discounting their communistic leanings) ever to reside in Washington D.C. with Brunehillary serving as the nit wit Secretary of State. Blind faith is exactly what the nut job, Brunehillary and the rest of the cabal are trying to force us to accept.

Before defining the essence of patriotism, it is necessary to examine what the left is doing to the nation. The crowd in D.C. is weakening the military to the detriment of our security; the national debt is soaring higher than a buzzard looking for its next meal; a concerted effort to appease the enemy has become the guiding force for foreign policy; plus all the other unconstitutional and immoral stances that have been taken. Let it be known that those who violate the oath of office are violating the Constitution and they are not patriotic in any sense of the word. They can bleat, rant, rave, and vilify all they want; they are not patriotic.

What is the essence of patriotism? It is very simple. For the man in the Oval Office, it is the oath he takes and then following the Constitution as written. For him, Congress and the courts, it is limiting government to the delegated powers listed in Article I, Section 8. It is supporting our military with deeds and words, plus faithfully carrying out all the other provisions of the great document. And citizens have a duty to know the Constitution and to speak out against those who, by design or otherwise, be they Democrat or Republican, would damage the well being of this nation’s people. That is also patriotic whether the left likes it or not.

Brunehillary and the nut job think being on the left and targeting those who oppose them is practicing patriotism. They can think it all they want, but we patriots will have none of it.
