An unenlightened and arrogant atheist from Paris, Ar., recently (1-15-08) wrote in a LTE about the one subject that he is most ignorant about. He thinks the Bible, along with all other literature and history written by the ancients, is a myth, except the ones written by atheists of course. Atheists make little effort to disagree intelligently with the Christian position. They know evolution is true, not because they see it in fossils, genes or even the laboratory, but because it’s embedded in their philosophy.

He disregards all archeology that proves Biblical truths. He had rather think life is meaningless; that there is no God; that we are just an accident, therefore life is not sacred. No God, no evil, no morals, no coming judgment and no hope for eternity structures his belief. Therefore, he can do what he wants without worry about judgment from a higher power. He is too dumb to understand that the so called literature he reads is all written by atheists like himself, who are just as blind as he is, and who also rejects the idea of God. He is so conceited in his exaggerated opinion of himself that he said, “ the thousands of ‘scholarly’ books (all written by atheists) refuting the Bible and proving it a work of fiction are still unknown to 90 % of all Christians.” And he intimated that if all the “ignorant believers” would only read all that fiction, we’d be “enlightened” like him. But he will never read anything that refutes evolution, (And there are many writings by scientists that present evolution as a fairy tale for adults.) If he did read them, he’d know the world and all the different kinds of life is too complex to have been an accident, and then he would have to acknowledged an intelligence that could only be God. And then he would have to admit to the fact that God owns this world, and that there might be some rules. Atheists always ask for irrefutable evidence that God exists. We don’t have to see God to know he exists. The glory of God is every where you look. You can see the evidence of God, if you’re too not blind to see it, not only in nature but also in plant, animal, and the human body. And it never occurs to them that they not only are unable to give irrefutable evidence for evolution, but they are also unable to give any irrefutable evidence that God does not exist. They will never be any smarter than their false teachers are.

There are plenty good books without atheists having to resort to fiction. But they don’t want to read them. They would rather believe this myth. One book that I would highly recommend they read is The Case For a Creator, by former atheist, Lee Strobel. He uncovers compelling evidence from the fields of cosmology, physics, astronomy, biochemistry, DNA research and the study of human consciousness for intelligent design. They would be amazed and shocked at what they would learn. From the organization of galaxies to the miraculous machinery of cells, Strobel shares what more and more scientists are saying about the complex, and purposeful order that pervades nature. It will open their eyes to the implications of the Big Bang and its biological counterpart, the Cambrian explosion and the problems that are leading more and more scientists to reject Darwinism. The universe was designed for study. Astronomers are discovering that the earth is anything but the unremarkable planet of popular science lore. Atheists should read it, if they dare.
