THE LEAPING GREEN MACHINE
It's springtime in the Rockies
I thought I'd come out for
you,
Digging out of the sand was
The most important thing to
do.
I'm looking around your garden
-
Taking big leaps and bounds,
I can see over your tall
hedges
Then I plunk down to the
ground.
My name is: Green Machine
My visits come once a year,
You know I'm on the lily pad
It's my pleasant croak you
hear.
I discovered your lily pond
And decided this is the place
to stay,
Why I can find all kinds of
areas
For me to jump, leap and play.
Then the summertime comes
Bringing with it all the bugs
and flies,
I will help you catch them all
-
Which will be much to their
surprise!
I sing my song early in the
mornings
Then I find the garden so
fitting,
For I can dig in or enjoy your
pond -
This to me is the most
fitting.
I hear some breeps not far
away -
This stirs me up for a froggy
date,
If I'm lucky I will meet her,
She'll leap by me; I'll sit
and wait.
She is beautiful and so active
-
We finally met in the garden
pool,
My froggy friend is perfect
for me
She really makes me drool!
If you spot me in the lily
pond
And another big leap is seen,
You will have noticed a happy
frog:
THE LEAPING GREEN MACHINE.
