THE NIGHT WARBLER

How sweet it is to out fox  a cat
It doesn't take much to do,
I can see the cat whiz by and
She doesn't know:  "I see you!"

The cat always gives me a clue
When she is looking for me,
She reaches with her paws to
Feel me out but misses:  Whee!

I can tell the cat is a "happy cat"
As when she prowls around,
She makes a singing tune to
Let me know I'm found.

I scoot and dodge and hide in the
Darkest corner under the couch,
She can't reach me and all she
Can do is sniff with her snout.

When the day is over and it is
Time for  rest of  the warrior,
I know I will hear the tune of

THE NIGHT WARBLER.
