God told the children of Israel the following in Hosea 4:6, My
people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected
knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me:
seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy
children. Unfortunately, we have the same type condition
occurring in our republic as this article is written. The people of this
collection of states are rejecting knowledge, and they are being
destroyed because of that lack. We are no better than Israel, in that we
not only have forgotten the law of the land, the Constitution of the
United States, we are allowing those in elected and appointed offices to
ignore its provisions and limitations on government.

The man in the White House is on record for saying that the Warren Court
failed to “break free from the essential constraints that were placed by
the founding fathers in the Constitution.” He said the Constitution is
“a charter of negative liberties” — it only says what government “can’t
do to you.” He further said it doesn’t say what the government can do
for you. Since this man was a constitutional lecturer, I shudder at the
thought of what he taught to the young malleable minds in his classes.
However, his performance since taking the oath of office may be
indicative of what he taught, if the takeover of car companies, banks,
wages and health care are relative to his thinking. If his behavior
continues, our constitutional republic will be nothing but an appendage
in the history books years down the road.

However, it isn’t believed by this writer that the man has a lack of
knowledge. I believe he knows well the limits on government, but he
chooses to ignore them since he knows that the people of this republic
generally lack knowledge of the limits on government due to not being
educated about the provisions of the Constitution. And he is using that
knowledge to work against the very values and institutions that have
made this country a viable player on the world scene.

But I am getting ahead of the subject of education a bit. The precursor
for his being able to shove his agenda down our throats began years ago
with two people: John Dewey, who influenced public education and
Franklin Delano Roosevelt, author of the New Deal to cope with the stock
market crash of 1929 and the depression of the 1930s.
