THE WILY WAYS OF SATAN

The Bible covers all aspects of life and false prophets are addressed by Paul. He wrote: [2 Cor 11:13] For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. [2 Cor 11:14] And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Satan is wily and beguiles the unwary in various ways. Those with an agenda dress up his ways so they will be appealing to the unaware. Those who claim to know God and who should know better are led away by the deceitful ways of God’s enemy. (Example: clergy who are pushing global warming solutions to the detriment of all of us.)

Satan lied to Eve who led Adam astray and then Satan tried to dethrone Jesus by appealing to his ego with material possessions. Satan is still lying to people today and is using people who claim to know God to carry forth his destructive message, dangling the lies associated with earth worship. They would have you believe that man is destroying the earth by just being on it, ignoring the fact that God gave us the earth on which to live.

The verses found in Genesis are most revealing: Gen 1:28] And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. [Gen 1:29] And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat; [Gen 1:30] And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

Several words are opposite of what the false speakers declare about over population and the use of earth’s resources. They are the words, fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, subdue it, and have dominion over animal life and living things of all kinds. He made provision for mankind and set in motion a process that ensures that their will be a plentiful supply of resources. He gave man the duty of overseeing and ensuring that the earth’s resources would be used for man’s benefit.

The claim is made by groups, such as PETA and ELF, that humans are plundering the earth by ruining its pristine existence of long ago. PETA tries to get people to stop using animals in all kinds of ways, especially slaughtering them for food. In Genesis we find: [Genesis 3:21] Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them. God told Adam and Eve to construct clothing of skins which implies that animals were killed in order to do so. What did they do with the meat? More than likely they ate it. ELF destroys things in the name of preserving, doing far more damage than the projects which they hate.

Paul wrote in Romans 1:18-32 about those who deny God. The context is very important for Paul’s entire subject, but verses 21-25 which have truths that apply to this discussion, can be isolated to find those applicable truths: [Rom 1:21] Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. [Rom 1:22] Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, [Rom 1:23] And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

[Rom 1:24] Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: [Rom 1:25] Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

The unlearned, the dupes, those with agendas, and yes, those who profess to follow God are being led astray by Satan. Peter sums it up as follows: [2 Pet 3:16] As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. [2 Pet 3:17] Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. [2 Pet 3:18] But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
