Tired and Weary

When I’m tired and weary and the devils tempting me,

Abused, bent and broken, and driven to my knees,

I raise my eyes toward heaven, to my Lord above,

He raises me up I’m saved by grace through His eternal Love.

He raises me up I’m saved by grace through His eternal Love.

When storm clouds build and lightening flashes cause my sight to fail,

The devil taunts me, blinding my eyes with torrents of rain and hail.

I raise my head toward heaven, to my Lord above,

He raises me up I’m saved by grace through His eternal Love.

He raises me up I’m saved by grace through His eternal Love.

My health is gone, my friends have left, and I’m on my back half dead.

The devil has made his promises good with pain and fear and dread.

I raise my faith toward heaven, to my Lord above,

He raises me up I’m saved by grace through His eternal Love.

He raises me up I’m saved by grace through His eternal Love.

My spirit has left my body; what’s left is in the grave,

I commend my spirit to thee Lord Jesus, because of you I’m saved.

My spirit is raised toward heaven, into Jesus’ arms above,

He raises me up I’m saved by grace through His eternal Love.

He raises me up I’m saved by grace through His eternal Love.
