UN-BLESSING OF THE REPUBLIC Part I
The voters, both legal and otherwise, have spoken, giving a
message that is filled with peril for the survival of a once
great nation of people. What is the reason that the words
a once great nation to describe the Republic of the
United States? The reasons will be found as you read the three
part series. A critical analysis of the thinking and beliefs of
the populace will reveal the beliefs and thinking and if those
aren’t changed, the Republic of The United States as it was
created will be nothing more than another nation which is only
remembered by looking into the dust bin of history.
Wherein does the problem lie? There are several areas and the
first is education: not general education as such, but an
education in the history of the founding, the meaning of the
Constitution and the Bible. The schools in our public education
system give very little time to the facts of the founding. The
students are not learning the reasons for the founding of the
republic, the Constitution and the moral principles that help
build and sustain the nation. (How do I know that is true? I
taught junior high and high school courses for 10 years. The
text books and the curriculum on United States history are
nothing short of pathetic.) In the debates, neither Romney nor
the nut job said anything concerning constitutional limited
government. That was normal for the nut job, but Romney should
have and didn’t. When so called leaders do not acknowledge the
Constitution, neither will the people.
Given that the knowledge of constitutional government is sorely
lacking, it is no wonder that the people voted for politicians
that would continue the handouts to which they have become
accustomed. However, all the blame does not rest with
politicians or the people. Part of the trouble traces back to
the colleges and universities that train teachers. (Having gone
through the wonderful teaching methods and teacher training
courses, I can say without a trace of doubt that such courses
are no more useful than a Mickey Mouse Comic Book. Lecturers and
professors that instruct those courses have no idea of the
requirements needed in a classroom filled with young people who
refuse to learn.) Yet, legislatures continue to pass laws that
will not improve education while colleges and universities churn
out ill prepared teachers, especially in the field of history of
our republic. If the foregoing makes a few mad, so be it. The
truth does inflict anguish on those who do not like it or refuse
to follow it.
There are many dedicated teachers whose hands are tied by stupid
rules and laws. Discipline is impossible in some schools because
the administrators do not want to offend the loud mouths in
their district. Parents throw fits when their children are
subjected to reasonable discipline. The ACLU sues school systems
for just breathing the words God or Jesus and the school people
cower in fear. No matter that at one time public education
included teaching of the Bible to all students. But now it is
perfectly fine to teach Islam, the homosexual lifestyle, same
sex marriage and other equally abhorrent subjects.
Denial of the history of the republic is only part of the
problem. Denial by those who would lead is also apparent. What
follows is a quote from news article on World Net Daily,
November 7, 2012.
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, reacting to Obama’s lead,
declared, “I just cannot believe, though, that the
majority of Americans would believe that incurring more debt is
good for our economy, for our children’s future, for job
creators. I cannot believe that the majority of Americans would
believe that it’s OK not to follow the Constitution and not have
a budget. And I can’t believe that the majority of Americans
would say it’s OK to rely on foreign sources of energy instead
of drilling and mining our own natural resources.” She
needs to wake up and realize that the items she named are the
reasons the nut job was re-elected. They do believe them because
government and those who operate it are their gods. People who
have not been educated in the ways of the constitutional
republic will vote for those who promise goodies because they
have not been taught to know any better. It is called, “Give us
their money.” Regrettably, the legacy of the FDR New Deal is
alive and well. What is that legacy? Depend on the government
and all will be well in your life. Mainly, that is one of the
reasons for re-election of the nut job.

III Parts
UN-BLESSING OF THE REPUBLIC Part II
A nation is no greater than the people who are the citizens of
the nation. Our republic did not become great just because it is
here: it became great because of adhering to the principles of
God and the provisions of the Constitution. By adhering to the
principles of God and teachings of Jesus Christ, the republic
enjoyed the many and varied blessings of God. The founders knew
it to be God’s blessing to be free of unwarranted government
biblical principles; they knew life was precious and must be
respected; they knew that property rights were part and parcel
of freedom and liberty; they knew that the pursuit of happiness
meant enjoying the blessings of God.
Politicians, preachers and others call on God to bless America.
Sadly, many of those who are doing the calling are not only
violating the principles of God, but they are encouraging the
practice of ungodly behavior. And the people cheer on such
conduct because they have no education in the Bible; they do not
know God, much less the man Jesus and the way of life that he
desires for each one to follow.
Where does the fault lie for the lack of knowledge of the
message of God in Christ? Preachers and churches are where most
of the major fault lies and the people who claim to believe in
God and Christ are the remainder of the problem. God gave Hosea
a message in Chapter 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack
of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also
reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou
hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy
children. The children of Israel turned away from God
and suffered mightily. In like manner, the republic of the
United States is suffering from a lack of knowledge of God.
Preachers preach pabulum and extol the virtues of belonging to
their church. The way of Christ and his dealing with sin is a
forgotten message in many places. And worse, many who name the
name of Jesus voted for the nut job; a man who supports
homosexual marriage and abortion. Is party a greater influence
than Jesus? Look in the mirror and ask yourself who you are
following. Is it God or man? That is a question everyone must
answer. Joshua 24:14-15 told the children of Israel Now
therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in
truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the
other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD. 15
And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this
day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers
served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of
the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my
house, we will serve the LORD. Will you serve the Lord
and not a political party with a tin god?
Sinful practices have become the norm for some groups that
number themselves as a part of the body of Christ.
They promote homosexual marriage. They allow practicing
homosexuals to maintain their sinful relationships. They
participate in so called homosexual marriage. All of those
practices are condemned by the word of God which they claim to
follow. When challenged, one of their answers to excuse their
practices is to say, “Well, God love everyone.” Yes he does, but
the word also told the believers in Rome the following And
be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the
renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and
acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (Romans 12:2)
The same teaching applies to us in the year 2012. How can anyone
who claims the name of Christ refuse to avoid conformance with
world?
Deviant practices show that mind has not been renewed.
(Apparently the
average citizen does not know or has not seen the behavior of
queers. If they did know or had seen them, they would experience
nothing but revulsion. When a police officer, both uniform and
detective, I saw the various behaviors and they are so revolting
I refuse to speak of them to anyone.) The homosexual practices
are not acceptable to God nor are they his will.
The homosexual practices are not acceptable to
God nor are they his will. The sinfulness of the world is the
reason for Jesus dying on the cross, but in church after church
his salvation is not preached because it might offend someone.
The message of salvation is offensive? Yes, people do not want
to hear that they are sinners and need Jesus. (People
in two states approved homosexual marriage during the 2012
election. How will churches handle that law?)
Peter preached to Cornelius Acts 10:34-35 Then Peter
opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no
respecter of persons: 35 But in every nation he that feareth
him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him. God
treats all people the same. The blessing of salvation is
available to all who will obey his word and those who won’t obey
will receive unwanted consequences. Sinful practices are not
righteous behavior and are condemned; they are the works of
unrighteousness which are not acceptable to him.

Next Un-blessing the Republic Part III of
III Parts
UN-BLESSING
OF THE REPUBLIC Part III
The first two parts of the series dealt with the lack of
education of the Constitution while the second part was about
the lack of biblical knowledge and immorality. This third and
last part will bring the two parts together.
In 1929, the stock market crashed and panic set in across the
land. The only ones hurt in the beginning were stock
investors who made bad business decisions while businesses in
general continued on with little damage until the government
began to meddle. Herbert Hoover implemented some government
programs that only made the situation worse and when Hoover began
his government solutions, it wasn’t long before the situation went
from bad to worse. The government spread fear and it roared
across the land like an out of control fire; and by 1932, conditions were
becoming terrible for everyone. When FDR
saw the opportunity to win the 1932 election, he began to blame
Hoover which the voters bought into hook line and sinker.
Ironically, FDR not only implemented the programs of Hoover, he
doubled down on them creating more business stifling government
help. All the while the propaganda of blaming Hoover won the
people over for government help in time of need. The writer told
the Hebrews in 4:16 the following concerning their sins and the
sacrifice of Jesus. They were looking for relief from sin and
were told Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of
grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time
of need. The teaching applies to life in general. The
people of the 1930s forgot that God would help them in their
time of need and turned to the government for help. Dependency
on the government has been growing ever since and as such, the
size and scope of the government has grown with intrusions into
nearly all areas of life. In 2012, the nut job used the FDR
formula of blame the other guy and it again proved to be
successful 80 years later. The people bought the blame Bush line
hook line and sinker. A survey of voters indicates that they
believed Bush was the source of the problems of the republic.
The result was very predictable: the nut job rode the blame game
to re-election.
God, our creator, has been neglected and the result is that
government is now god with the politicians playing like apostles
doing the work of the false god. The government false god has to
take from one group of taxpayers to provide for another group of
citizens. Do those who receive understand the nature of
government help? No, and when told they do not care that they
are sponging off of other people. That immoral mind set is much
more rampant in 2012. People expect to eat and live off of the
efforts of their fellow citizens; when they don’t receive what
they think is proper, they demand that the government give them
more. Even so called believers vote for those who will give the
welfare crowd more largesse thinking that it is what Jesus
taught when he said help the poor.
As the issues of personal irresponsibility grew, lax morality
began to creep into society. It began with the idea of living
together without the benefit of legal marriage. From there, it
went to the acceptance of having children out of wedlock. The
scriptures have words for sexual behavior with other than a
spouse. For the unmarried it is fornication; for the married who
stray it is called adultery. The moral climate is so far down
the tubes that neither of those behaviors as much as bring a
look from many people. It is considered to be normal. A once
moral nation that honored God by following his principles is
being reduced to a modern
Sodom and Gomorrah. As pointed out in another part of the
series, the citizens of two states approved homosexual marriage
which will bring pressure on other states to do likewise.
Government help of all kinds is now offered. Cell phones, food
stamps rent subsidies and tax rebates even though no taxes were
paid. It is all done under the idea of fairness since it isn’t
fair for one to have something another does not possess. So
those with means are forced to give to those who do not have the
same or something equal. All of it began with the government
becoming the big daddy nanny for the republic. As government
grew and continues to grow, God, Jesus and the Bible are shoved
to the background because the tin god of government pushes the
benefits that can keep the envious and jealous voting for the
apostles of the give then what they want. It is more than I
want; it is “I demand and you had better give it to me” is their
message. “If you don’t give us what we want, we will create
riots to get our way.” Is that the message that the founders of
our republic taught the people? It isn’t and it isn’t the
message of Jesus either.
Politicians, more Republicans than Democrats, and the nut job
end speeches with God Bless America. Who are they trying to kid?
God will not and is not blessing our republic because of the
sinful practices of abortion, homosexual behavior, government
corruption and other nefarious behaviors. God only blesses when
the people follow his way. Salvation is the ultimate blessing,
but following his moral principles and ways on which the
republic was built, brings his blessings to all. (See Matthew
5:45) Until the people turn back to God, we are no longer a
great nation. Why? A great nation of people does not sit by and
allow abortion, homosexual conduct, government corruption,
unchecked border violations, ill performing school systems and
crime to flourish unabated. Those who ignore and deny and refuse
to deal with those conditions are part of the problem. Thus the
Un-Blessing of God of a people who at one time honored the
Creator with joy.
