Now it is time to revisit the removal of God from society in
general and the idea that God cannot have a part on the
operation of government in particular. In the very early years
of the republic and for many years thereafter, the Bible was
read daily in the schools. Denominational religion was not
generally discussed, but the inculcation of God’s principles was
made plain to the students. It can be rightly said that church
and state cooperated in making a society that benefited
everyone. There will be those who dispute that fact, but a
research of history will reveal it is true.
However, when the Supreme Court began issuing unconstitutional
edicts, it made it increasing difficult for God to be honored in
the schools and that now has spread to society in general and
government in particular. Those in government began to behave
according to the laws and rules that Congress created and then
the various bureaucracies were given latitude to make more
rules. Thus, humanism has become the determining factor for
government, if not in fact, a governmental religion.
With no moral guide lines outside of what humans decide, the
republic is facing the behavior of a rogue government that knows
no bounds. But it isn’t a rogue government per se; what is
called a rogue government has a face, in fact many faces and the
faces are both Democrat and Republicans. The faces are the man
in the Oval office; the Vice-President; Secretary of State;
majority leader in the Senate; the Speaker of the House; the
Cabinet Secretaries; and all the minions in the various
departments and agencies, too numerous to mention. They are the
ones who worship their own power. They issue orders, edicts and
make laws that may or may not be constitutional. But there is
one constant that infects nearly all of them; they are loathe to
include God in any manner or form to guide their governmental
behavior.
By believing that God has no place in governmental affairs, the
elected officials, their appointees and other employees have no
guidelines outside of themselves. They have become much like the
children of Israel who did what was right in each of their own
eyes. In those days there was no king in Israel, but every
man did that which was right in his own eyes. (Judges
17:6) The republic has kicked out God so in effect there is no
king. The office holders and the citizens are doing and
demanding that things be done that aren’t of God. Those
behaviors aren’t right by God’s standards, but they do not care.
They are gods in their own right operating the god which has
power, the federal government. The result is an ungodly
government composed of ungodly people who lie, cheat steal and
commit other acts opposite of the path that God wants all to
trod. How different are they from the founders who revered God
as they set up the republic.
One more item must be visited. At the end of the Declaration of
Independence, there is a line that all should heed, especially
those who operate the power of government. The sentence is at
the end: And for the support of this Declaration, with a
firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we
mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our
sacred Honor. Relying on God, they pledged their lives,
fortunes and sacred honor. It is submitted that the powers that
be in every level of government are not relying on God; they
have not pledged their lives or fortunes and have no sacred
honor because they lie, steal, and otherwise behave in total
opposition of God. Thus, they have created a system of ungodly
government that will ultimately cause the destruction of the
Republic of the United States. But there is one more participant
in the destruction. It is the ungodly voters who elected them to
office. The ungodly voters who place party over God are
responsible.
