Vladimir Lenin coined the term useful idiots; the ones who spread the propaganda and lies told by the communists. They appear everywhere and the Voices Letters Section of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette has a number of them spouting the glorious days we are having with nut job (aka Barack Hussein Obama) at the helm of the republic. One that appeared on September 21, 2012 identifies the writer as very useful for the nut job.

The writer wrote of the changes that have occurred under the tutelage of the dictator in training. Yes, there have been changes, but they are not what the writer has spewed. Ronald Reagan expressed it well about liberals and it applies to useful idiots also.  Mr. Reagan said, “It is not that liberals do not know anything, it is that what they know isn’t so.” The letter writer resides in that category.

A delusion caused the writer to say that the federal, state and local governments are smaller and employee fewer people now. Oops, not exactly true.  While state and local employee numbers have declined because of layoffs due to budget restraints, the number of federal government employees grew.  The number of federal employees grew by 123,000, or 6.2%, under President Obama, according to the White House's Office of Management and Budget. What the writer thinks he knows isn’t true just as Ronald Reagan said.

Then he said that gas and oil production is at historically high levels. Again oops, not exactly true. Gas production is up, but the nut job in the White House and Lisa Jackson of the EPA are working overtime to stop fracking which is the cause of the gas production being high. Fracking has been used for years to release gas from the rock formations and is safe, but not according to the demented ones in the White House and the Energy Department. As for oil production, it is down overall because of a 40% reduction in production on federal lands, but due to the oil fields in North Dakota, Texas and Alaska, private lands production is up.  A bit of research would keep the writer from being useful to the left and it would end his delusions.

A direct quote will be used for his next knowing nothing statement. “About 92 percent of Americans are working, and employment numbers have gone up every month for the last 30 months.” How can anyone be so wrong? It is easy to answer. Nut job Kool-Aid warps the mind so less is more and up is down. What is the truth? An article on World Net Daily titled NUMBERS DON’T LIE: The REAL OBAMANOMICS tells the truth: The proportion of the civilian working-age population that is actually working, now at 58 percent, is the smallest since the Carter era.  Yes, about 92 percent of the Americans are working if the difference between 58 and 92 is ignored. The writer is off by 34 percent and it appears he is the one off. That Kool-Aid must have been laced with powerful fantasy and delusion atoms. Again, Mr. Reagan is right about knowing things that aren’t so. One more article will help establish what is so. When the labor force shrinks due to people not looking for work, the unemployment rate drops with it. According to James Pethokoukis, “If the labor force participation rate was the same as when Obama took office in January 2009, the unemployment rate would be 11.2%.”

Liberals in general and the nut job supporters in particular are very eager to parrot the untruths of the propaganda that the administration spews daily. It is appalling that not only do they not know what is true, they are very eager to show that they do not know what is untrue. But when people are locked on a party and a personality, useful idiots abound even though the truth exposes the untruthfulness of their beliefs.
