At one time belief in
God was recognized as a standard to such an extent that those who didn’t
believe more or less kept quiet rather than admit it. God was freely
spoken of in the schools and other areas of society. Our nation was
founded on the moral precepts of God and they are reflected in the
fabric of the Declaration, The Constitution, and at one time the
decisions rendered by the judges of the land but not anymore.

What is happening is
easy to see. As the years have slid by the infidels have become more
strident about their unbelief and have demanded that believers not
intrude on their right to deny God. This insanity has gone so far that
judges are demanding that any mention of God must be removed from all
places public. Members of local government councils demand that meetings
not be opened with prayer. Parents raise issues and sue when their
children are exposed to God in the schools. Freedom from God has become
the religion of choice that by any other name is heathen oriented
humanism which can also include pagan worship. The short of it is that
mentioning God stings the conscience of the unbelievers and reminds them
of wrong doing.

How dare you call
citizens who don’t believe heathen? Whoa now, not all disbelievers
behave as heathen, but look around with wide open eyes. All sorts of
perversions are being practiced. Homosexuals are demanding that society
recognize their sinful ways and twist the Bible (Which in most cases
they don’t believe is the truth.) to support their nefarious conduct.
Judges who should know better are upholding their claims, which push
their illicit conduct onto everyone.

Governor Rod Blagojevich
has signed a bill that outlaws hiring discrimination against homosexuals
that may require churches to hire those who are practicing perversion as
a way of life. Blagojevich misquoted the Bible to support his signing of
the bill into law. The governor thinks he is stopping discrimination
when he is actually discriminating against those who believe that
homosexual conduct is sin and in the process he is impinging on their
religious liberty.

The First Amendment of
the United States Constitution says, Congress shall make no law
respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free
exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, … The Illinois
legislature and the scripture twisting governor have limited the
practice of religion and the speech associated with it by passing the
law promoting perversion. Certainly the hiring of those who share like
values of God’s morality is part of the practice of religion. But not
according to Blagojevich in his God supplanting human wisdom. Now do
you understand why I used the terms heathen oriented humanism above?

The governor and the
legislature of Illinois need to read Article 6, Clauses 2 and 3 of the
US Constitution to learn a few things they either don’t know or are
ignoring. Clause 2 says, This Constitution, and the laws of the
United States which shall be made in pursuance thereof; and all treaties
made, or which shall be made, under the authority of the United States,
shall be the supreme law of the land; and the judges in every state
shall be bound thereby, anything in the Constitution or laws of any
State to the contrary notwithstanding. Clause 3 says, The
Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the members of the
several state legislatures, and all executive and judicial officers,
both of the United States and of the several states, shall be bound by
oath or affirmation, to support this Constitution; Plainly the
Illinois legislature and Blagojevich have violated their oath of office
in this matter. And before someone mentions the 14th
Amendment it must be pointed out that one section of the Constitution
can’t be used to render null and void any other part of the
Constitution. Judges in Illinois have no choice but to declare the ill
advised law unconstitutional when the suits are filed. And if they
don’t, the churches should ignore the law. That would ignite a firestorm
of protests and lawsuits, but so be it. It is time for Christians to take
a stand against tyranny.

Judges and governments
at all levels are ignoring that which God has given and the type of
government which the founders created. All believers need to wake up and
decide whom will be served as said by Joshua in 24:15
And if it seem
evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve;
whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side
of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but
as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. It is plain to see
that some members of the Illinois legislature and the governor have made
the choice that it is wrong to serve God according to the teachings of
scripture and are now on the record of promoting evil.
