Due to the spirit of compromise to just get along and to avoid the so called fiscal cliff which the Republicans helped create, several members of the party are now considering helping the Democrats raise taxes to help cure the economic ills. They are not only their own worst enemy, but as a consequence, an enemy of constitutional government as well. With all that considered the OLLIE AWARD is given to the Weenie Republicans for not standing firm against raising taxes, with special recognition to Tom Cole of Oklahoma for favoring more of the take from the wealthy and give to others doctrine of Karl Marx. Shame on all of them.

Nancy Pelosi was considered for an Ollie for saying “the election was held, the people have spoken,” implying that the voters support tax hikes for the “people at the high end.” Since Madam Pelosi is notorious for saying things stupid, which is her normal behavior, she does not qualify for the prestigious award and never will qualify.
