Just as the Voices column has been filled with letters touting the qualities of Hillary Clinton, letters proclaiming the wonders offered by Barack Hussein Obama, have been published in quantities. Suffice it to say that the letters are short on facts and common sense, while filled with nothing but ignorance and emotion.  In the minds of the writers, he is a god that will save us from all the ills of the world. If history is any predictor of outcomes, those who made their nations believe that they were the answer to peace, prosperity, and economic vitality are nothing but memories recorded in the annuals of history. The only lasting effect has been unpleasant memories and fanatical people trying to copy their legacy of destruction.

Change is the hot word for Obama. His followers are mesmerized with the word and he has the ability to make the word mean whatever the hearer thinks it means. First, in order to understand the froth the word creates in the mind of the hearer, the definition of change has to be understood.  It has several meanings but two will suffice for this article. One is to put or take (a thing) in place of something else: [a] substitute. The second definition is farther along in the article.

Obama is saying he is going to replace the system we have with something else, but he never says what it is he will use for the replacement. But he has given some insight to his use of the word change. He is going to help Africa in their quest to rise economically. He is going to help eliminate poverty in Third World Countries by requiring the taxpayers of this nation to fund a gigantic giveaway through the United Nations. He is going to make health care affordable by taxing the incomes of the higher income earners. The upper limits on Social Security will increase. He will repeal the taxes on the “rich” since they are prospering at the expense of the poor. Of course, those who don’t pay taxes think that is fair. That is socialist thinking and he intimates that he will continue the activities of the income distribution programs.

Barack has been for the war, against the war, and who knows what he will say the next time about it? Rest assured though, he will sit down and have heart to heart talks, eyeball to eyeball, with the likes of the demon, Ahmedinejhad of Iran, who wants to destroy us. But have no fear, Ahmedinejhad will see the god like qualities of savior Obama and he will bow down and forget that he wants to annihilate us. Obama will be recognized as a man of peace and good will who will restore our prestige to the nations that hate us. Surely, anyone who doesn’t believe that is an utter fool and is so blind that they can’t see the wonderful soothing powers of Obama. The letter writers believe it and they can’t understand those who refuse to see Obama’s true identity.

In truth, Obama is a charlatan preying on the gullibility of those who think the government owes them a living. He wants to cap the salaries of corporation CEOs and regulate other business to create fairness for all. He will tax those who he thinks aren’t paying their fair share. But all of it is the mantra of change, which the gullible lap up like a dog lapping from a bowl of milk. The problem is that eventually there won’t be anyone left to fill the bowl, providing there is any milk being produced. 

Now for the other promised definition. It is the change (coins) given back when an item is bought. Change is all we will have when Obama finishes extracting the big pieces to pay for his grand schemes.  

As far as his race, he even has people believing he is black when in fact he is half-white and half-black. Does black override white? How far would he get if he said he was white?  He is playing the race card every step of the way and those who mention that fact are called racist. Name-calling is the bane of a charlatan’s supporters.

How many people who support him consider his ties to a member of the old Soviet Communist Party, Frank Marshall Davis? Obama said in his book, The Audacity of Hope, that the Communist man was his mentor. An honest investigation of Obama’s words shows that he spouts the fascist/communist line with every word.

Do the people who support him care? No they don’t. Just as with Hillary’s supporters whose god is the government, the giver of goodies, they think they are going to get something for nothing from their god, the man Obama. He is an empty suit, with an empty head, spouting an empty message and the change he spouts won’t be to anyone’s liking for long. Obama is no savior for our nation’s people. We already have a Savior. His name is Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
