God’s moral laws are the glues that hold a society together;
they keep society functioning on a level that allows liberty to
live as long as the majority follows God’s timeless principles
of proper conduct. However, that glue is being eroded by those
who deny God, (maybe some part-time lip service when it is
expedient) and attempt to place their own ideas, wants, wishes,
desires and dictates over and above God’s plan for humans.
The opposite of God’s morals is immorality and synonymous with
immorality is the word sin. The disregard of God allows morality
to be shoved aside. That is being done more and more by leaders
of every kind, from preachers to public leaders to the citizens
of every belief. In order to look at sin and its promotion of
immorality requires everyone to look at God for the answer to
both; but they make excuses for their behavior in the belief
that humans and not God are able to set forth rules to handle
the immorality.
Yet, immorality is not mentioned by those who support it or are
sympathetic to those who deliberately promote all types of
ungodly behavior. They call it life choices and preferences or
some other term to justify the behavior of deviant “life
styles,” as they are called. Never call things by correct names
because that might not be politically correct and it might
(will) hurt the all so tender feelings of those practicing
deviant sin, called rebellion against God and his ways. But if
God doesn’t exist, then it isn’t rebellion and therefore sin
doesn’t exist either. Typical human reasoning that does nothing
but cause problems for everyone.
Long before the Old and New Testaments were written, humans
continued their rebellion against God which began with Adam and
Eve. The behavior of the progeny of Adam and Eve caused God to
wipe them out with a flood. Genesis 6:5 tells us And God
saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that
every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil
continually. When humans will not follow God, evil
thoughts and behavior are the natural result.
As the years passed to the present of 2012, evil is increasingly
on the rise; evil being anything that is opposite of what God
declares to be good, right and proper. Homosexuality is gaining
force through acceptance by religious groups (and what must be
noted is that such religious groups departed from the teachings
of the Bible years ago by creating their own evil doctrines);
homosexuals use intimidation, threats of force and actual force
to have their way. The definition of morality is determined by
their own ideas which always conform to their practices of
deviancy.
In California, a proposal
California Senate Bill 1172 in the California Assembly
would make it illegal to counsel young people under the age of
18 to help them change their deviant practices. it would impose
fines and possible jail terms on those, including parents, who
would do the reparative work. (Refer to Genesis 6:5 as needed.)
Dan Cathy, owner of the Chick-Fil-A restaurant chain, is being
castigated, ridiculed and subjected to possible harm by the
homosexuals. Two mayors, Rahm Emanuel of Chicago and the mayor
of Boston, have vowed not to allow the company into their
respective cites. An alderman in Chicago publicly declared he
would not vote to allow the company to build in his ward.
Dead Fish Rahm Emanuel said the Mr. Cathy didn’t represent
Chicago’s values. If he is speaking of the criminal element in
Chicago, he is correct. And from all news accounts that are
reporting honestly, Dead Fish knows a lot about the criminal
element in Chicago. Apparently Dead Fish thinks all of Chicago
has a criminal mind and if that is true, we can thank God that
Mr. Cathy doesn’t have Chicago’s values.
However, it is doubtful that all of Chicago citizens have the
values that Dead Fish holds. There are many honest, upright,
citizens in Chicago who do not hold to the criminal ways and do
not practice the evil behavior. But seldom is any opposition
heard coming from them and it may be for good reason. The powers
that have been silenced opposition and also those that are now
in office have a way of silencing dissent so people are afraid
to make their thoughts known. (That is based on my own personal
experience due to the nature of my former employment and from
talking to Chicago citizens. Put another way, it is very
unhealthy to cross the line with “lords” of Chicago.)
Presently, in governments at all levels, local, state and
federal, churches and individuals are experiencing repression
from bureaucrats who harass them and deny them their rights to
hold assemblies in their homes and on their property. Zoning
laws are misapplied and other measures are directed toward those
who declare belief in God. The other measures are arrest them
for publicly preaching the message of Christ to Muslims and
others.
