WHEN I
THINK |
|
When I think of the time I have, do I spend enough time in prayer? Do I please my Lord above and thank Him for His care? When I think of the talents I have, are they used in praise of Him? Or do my desires I satisfy which leads me into sin. When I think of the friends I have, do I show my faith enough? Or do I talk about the things I’ve done and all the worldly stuff. When I think about the money I have, do I use it for the Lord? Or do I squander it on useless things and things that cause discord. When I think about the life I’ve live, do I walk the Christian walk? Or do I do the things I want and only talk the talk. When I think of the people I hurt, was it something I meant to do? Or did I do it out of my own spite because of things untrue. When I think about doing His will, did I do it with fire and passion? Or do I see it as drudgery because it’s not in fashion. When I think about the trials I face, do I get mad at the Lord each day? Or do I ask for His Godly strength when troubles often come my way. When I think about which master I serve, is it me or Jesus Christ? Do I continue to rule my own way or serve Him as the King of my life. When I think about the price Jesus paid, could I
have been that strong as well?
When I think about standing before God’s throne on that glorious judgment day, Will Jesus say, “I know you not or welcome me to glory today.” When you think about your own soul, do you know the Lord Jesus Christ? Have you asked Him to be your Savior and King and Lord over your life? © Copyright 2005 JEC March 16th, 2005, I was praying about not writing praise poetry. I was worried because I hadn’t written any for a few weeks. Mostly because I was doing the songs and story writing that popped into my head. Not all of the stuff was spiritual in nature, not bad or unwholesome; I was just concerned that I was getting off of the track. I ask God to keep me focused and help me do what He wanted me to do. Not my will but the thine kind of thing. The praise poetry is where all of this wonderful work started. Well, God answered my prayer within just a few minutes with “When I Think”, a direct answer to a specific prayer. Praise God!!!
