The article that you are about to read isn’t the usual Bible lesson. It
is more of a commentary than a lesson based on an article found on the
web. The ramifications of the subject need to be explored because it
involves how far those who oppose God’s righteousness will go to assuage
the feelings of those who practice sin.
|
|
Two quotes from the article follow: Restricting marriage to
heterosexual couples causes gay men and lesbian women psychological and
social harm ... The second: The article does not quantify the
impact of not being able to marry, but Herdt and co-author Robert
Kertzner write that the denial of marriage causes some gay men and
lesbian women -- and their families -- to devalue their relationships,
and it can lead people to make to ambiguous commitments, both of which
can undermine a relationship. (Click
Here or link below for the article.) The relationships can’t
be devalued because when compared to any standard of decency set
forth by God, they have no value other than two humans who know each
other. This is another example of catering to those who are trying to
deny that homosexual relationships aren’t sinful.

Our nation of people stands at the crossroad and must determine whether
they will continue to condone and wink at the sin of homosexual conduct
or allow it and continue down the road of depravity against God’s
teaching. The Book of Leviticus 20:10-21 speaks to the types of
relationships God forbids. Verse 13 says: [Lev 20:13] If a man
also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have
committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood
shall be upon them. Further in Leviticus 18:22: [Lev
18:22] Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is
abomination. Verses 13 and 22 both use the word abomination
which means sin in all of its ugliness (Hebrew: ba’ash, to smell bad, to
be offensive morally, (make to) be abhorred loathsome, odious, stink).
When people forget sin, then sin enters in and it is seen in all forms
of ungodly conduct.

|
If the nation’s people accept homosexual sin (male to male and woman to
woman in ways that God teaches us are wrong) so that the practitioners
won’t feel they are outcasts, what other types of perverted conduct will
be looked upon at some point as normal? As it is, groups such as NAMBLA
(North American Man/Boy Love Association) are advocates of sexual
relationships with children. They deny that being true but their history
speaks differently. Other groups promote incest and bestiality. Should
not those activities be sanctioned too, so that the practitioners won’t
experience condemnation and shame?
|
|
Much effort is put forth to dim the sin of perverted conduct. It is said
that Jesus didn’t condemn homosexual activity (See Such Were Some of
You), but they do make error in not knowing the scriptures. The Old
Testament is the history of God’s work with mankind and the historical
work of the Jews bringing Jesus into the world. God told the ones he
chose for that important work the limits of their behavior. It is folly
to think that Jesus in fulfilling the law and abolishing it opened the
door for homosexual conduct. The Gentiles weren’t under the law until
Peter preached the gospel to the household of Cornelius, Acts Chapter
10. It is perverted thinking to suggest that the gospel opened the door
for God’s approval of the Gentiles to practice perversion.
|
|
Paul said of the Gentiles regarding the law: [Rom 2:14] For when
the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained
in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: [Rom
2:15] Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their
conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while
accusing or else excusing one another;) [Rom 2:16] In the day when God
shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
Paul wrote of right versus wrong and this verse shows that the Gentiles
knew the difference between right and wrong, sin, and God’s natural way
for mankind.

|
When will the headlong dive into political correctness and the feel good
of depravity end? It will end when people who love God will stand up and
tell the depraved enough is enough. Until it is done the question
remains, Where Will It End?
