By now it should be readily apparent to anyone who seeks the truth that
Mr. Gentry didn’t misspeak and what he wrote was quite in line with the
scriptures. This last part will address one word and a ridiculous
statement that the writer made when opposing Mr. Gentry.
|
|
The writer decried the use of the word murderers. Let’s examine how
wrong she is for her belief. The word murdered doesn’t appear in the New
Testament, but the word murder does, while kill is used in the context
of taking human life. However, Jesus in quoting the law to a questioner
said: Thou shalt do no murder, Thou
shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear
false witness, 19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt
love thy neighbour as thyself. (Matthew 19:18-19) We can
also get he sense for the word murderers by looking at Acts 2: 36:
Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath
made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
Then in Acts 4: 10: Be it known unto you all,
and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of
Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him
doth this man stand here before you whole. The word crucified
means to nail to a stake and in the case of Jesus it was murder since he
died.

There is another act in which the word murder and murders can be and
should be applied. That act is abortion which the writer was attempting
to defend. She said, (quote) “As a Christian and Democrat, I know not
one Democrat who is pro-abortion, just pro-choice.” (unquote) The lady
needs to research the statements of Democrat politicians such as Howard
Dean, Hillary Clinton, Barbara Boxer and many others. They have
routinely voted against bills that would outlaw abortion. The bills
weren’t about pro-choice. It was abortion that the bills addressed. Then
the writer went over the edge. She said that the decision was deeply
personal and must be between the woman, her family, her doctor, and her
God. As another writer pointed out, God will not condone or be a party
to such barbarous activity.

|
Any deliberate cessation of a human life, except the lawful execution
for crimes, is murder no matter what names it is given or how it is
dressed up. People who hold the view that abortion can be avoided by
calling it pro-choice are mightily confused about politics and being a
Christian. One or the other has to be denied as Jesus said:
No man can serve two masters: for either he
will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one,
and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
(Matthew 6:24 and Luke 16:13) The question
becomes one of choosing, making a choice. Will a Christian follow the
Democrat Party whose history is one of supporting all kinds of ungodly
behavior or will they follow God as the Bible teaches? Will they answer
as did Joshua 24:15: but as for me and my house, we will serve the
LORD.
|
|
Jesus said when addressing a question about
the resurrection: Ye do err, not
knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.
(Matthew 22:29) That can be applied to those who try to excuse their
party affiliation with words designed to hide the truth while claiming
to be a Christian.
|
|
When the words of those who are offended by
the truth are held against the light of biblical truth, the speaker and
writer’s words are found wanting. It is as was written in Daniel 5:27 to
TEKEL: Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.
The words of many people, those who deny God and refuse to
follow can’t bear the light of truth. When it is told, they rail, rant,
rave, and dispute the word of God. And too it would be good if those who
claim to be Christians would make an effort to understand God’s message.

|
Truth has a way of revealing the mind of an
individual. 12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and
sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder
of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of
the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 Neither is there any creature
that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened
unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. (Hebrews 4:12-13)
It is apparent, based on rebuttal letters, that narrow and shallow
thinking drive the unbending allegiance to the Democrat Party and its
promotion of ungodly behavior. In Sorting It Out, it is obvious that Mr.
Gentry spoke the truth and laid bare the thoughts of those who oppose
the way of life God wants all to follow. All the liberals can do is
whine about being offended.
