As you live in this ole
world each day, what do you represent?
Do people see a heavenly
saint, or something the devil sent?
No matter wherever you go,
or no matter what you do,
Be careful how you act my
friend, folks are watching you.
They’ll want to know if
you’re for real or a hypocrite,
Even though they are not
saved, a fake they’ll not permit.
You must profess the love
of Christ to those who are in such need,
If you show instead your
worldly ways, they’ll slay you quick indeed.
The Bible on earth, God’s
the living word, printed for all to read,
It describes the way to
conduct yourself, the words you’d better heed.
When you get angry and
people see that you’re treating others badly,
Do you think they want the
Lord and will accept Him gladly?
I guarantee they’ll walk
away saying they don’t need salvation,
Because the way they see
you act they don’t need the aggravation.
They think your life is as
bad as theirs; how can your way be the best?
If you’re not acting right
they’ll see that you’re like all the rest.
If you were them would you
want to read a book that had bad things to say?
Or would you want to read
the Bible itself and learn of the perfect way?
That perfect way is Jesus
Christ, a plan for all creation,
He died on the cross for
you and me and to give us all salvation.
They are are supposed to see
that you’re like Christ and living a life that’s pure,
Instead they see you’re
living a lie without the hope that does endure.
A hope that comes from
Jesus Christ and blessings that comes from prayer,
Blessings that mend a
broken heart and provide a love so rare.
Do folks want to read
horrible books with stories about bad days?
Or do you think they’d
read a heavenly book that told of the perfect way?
The perfect way is Jesus
Christ; do you let His light shine through?
To tell the story of a
sacrifice with everything you do.
Your life’s a story that’s
written in blood, the blood of Jesus Christ,
Let it write His words
onto your heart and live His sacrifice.
If you’re a Christian
God’s desire for you is to show your light each day,
That light on earth is the
word of God, "cause you are always on display."
God’s written word really
tells us all how to live and how to pray,
It tells us how to walk and
act and even what to say.
So my friends please heed
these words, I’m sure you will agree,
You might be the only
Bible someone may ever see.
