YOUR
PERKY COFFEE CUP
I was
picked up off the shelf
At a
store that was not far,
Wrapped as a pretty gift
Then
carried to your car.
In the
mornings I wake you
As
coffee is poured inside me,
I
am Your Perky Coffee Cup
And
perky as can be.
First
cup you pour, I smile -
As you
bring me to the table,
You
hold on to the handle
As you
study the coffee label.
Second
cup brings delight as
You
take a sip and more,
You
get ready for your day
Then
head right out the door.
Third
cup I'm in your car
Watching the ignition key,
Start the car and begin to roll
As I
try not to splash on thee.
I am
trying hard not to drip
This
delicious coffee on you,
Holding steady I politely say,
"A
hum, slow speed will do!"
Fourth
cup tastes so delicious
As you
can see I'm still around,
Glad
to be Your Perky Coffee Cup
And
not a drained ole' ground!
